I always love when I come across the emails or stories of kid and what they say, I remember the show, kids say the darndest things, man was it funny, and yes, kids do say the darndest things.
In my years of teaching 6th grade religious education to after school children I have heard many things, and sometimes they set me back a few before I could respond. It was always a challenge to keep from laughing at what was just said or asked. I use to look forward to hearing how the 6th grade mind processed the complexity of our faith. Sometimes their simplistic view hit the nail on the head, they seemed to have a better understanding than we do, but other times, well, they just seemed to be in a world all to themselves, you never know, and to me, that’s the fun of it all.
