Human or Dog

I wanted to do a second blog on the whole boy thing, I did for my other blog, You can be new called Boyness, and I almost just ran it here also, like I did with the last two blogs, but I decided that I really needed to take a different look at boy’s here on the STATIC blog. It needed to have a Catholic twist, it needed bible passages and words of wisdom form someone like St. Frances or Pope John Paul II, something that would carry weight with others, it needed to come from someone besides me.

So I started the internet search,  looking for that one thing that would inspire me. I found nothing, but truth be told, I really didn’t look all that hard. So I almost gave up, almost decided that I just wouldn’t write a blog today. But here I ham, and I am glad, because as I write this blog, the direction and message has come to me, I now know what to write, what I want to say. My words of wisdom have arrived, God has provided for me (or at least I hope they are words of wisdom and that God gave them  to me).

So you ready, get your cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy….

The great thing about being human is the simple fact is, we just have to be. No one has to tell us how to act as humans, we just do. Sure each person is there own person and each acts a little different than the other, but the basics of humanity were always just there. What I mean is no one sat us down when we were 5 years old and said:

“Ok, so now that your 5 you have a decision to make, you can either be a human or you can choose to be something else. What ever you decide to be I will teach you, so what will it be, Human or Dog, Human or Fish, Human or Ape?”

Nope, this conversation never happened, at least in my home. I was just expected to grow up and be human. But that’s not the case anymore, it seems we have gotten to a point in our history that we need to be taught everything. We have books and classes on how to be parents, how to give birth, how to be married how date how to have sex how to live your life how to die how to read how to books. It’s truly mind boggling if you stop and think about it.

How did humanity get to a point were it does not know how to be what it is? A dog knows how to be a dog, that’s what it is, no one had to write a book on how to be a dog, it just is. But we, the superior race, we need book upon book and doctors and TV shows and God knows what else just to be told how to be what we are, human. Mind boggling, it truly is…

Take the time, do a Google search on self help or go to Amazon.com and look it up, you will be amazed at the amount of information out there on just how to be what you already are, human.

SO what are my words of wisdom, what can I offer to the already over crowded bookshelf of wisdom  on how to be what what ever it is you want to be….

Here it is…..

Be yourself, allow God’s grace to work through you and allow your God given self to shine through…

That’s it, that’s all there is to it. The only book you need to help you figure it all out is the Holy Bile, and the only Doctor you need to see is the divine doctor, Jesus the Christ. Allow his healing touch to penetrate you and to consume you, than all will work out, all will be well…

SO what should you do with all the other books and advice.. What ever you want, God gave us freewill for a reason….
