Now those who were reputed to be important added nothing to my message. (What sort of people they were makes no difference to me, since God pays no attention to outward appearances.) -Galatians 2:6
Today I thought I would look at what the bible has to say on EGO, how we think of ourselves and what the bible has to say about all that…
As anyone who reads my blogs will know, I am not big on the EGO (Edging God Out) and I find myself returning to this topic often. I find it necessary to find new ways approach the topic, new ways to show the evil of it and new ways to explain it. The EGO, the enemy of humanity, the original sin, and root of all sin.
The above quote eludes to the fact that God really doesn’t care what degrees you may have or what your title is, God does not look to the outside of us, but rather to the inside, were titles and degrees and other such things have no hold on us, or on the world.
The following passages are parallel to the one above:
Acts 10:34 Opening his mouth, Peter said: "I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality,
2 Corinthians 11:5 For I consider myself not in the least inferior to the most eminent apostles.
2 Corinthians 12:11 I have become foolish; you yourselves compelled me. Actually I should have been commended by you, for in no respect was I inferior to the most eminent apostles, even though I am a nobody.
Galatians 2:9 and recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.
Galatians 6:3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
So how does this relate to EGO, easy, God sees us all as the same, there is no need to feel more important than the other, we are are great in the eyes of God.
