President Obama

Yesterday history was made, we have our 44th president and the power was transferred without a battle. No blood was shed and life in America continues on, and of course we have our first African-American President. What a day for Americans. Now I did not vote for President Obama, but that doesn’t matters now, he is our President and I will support him! I will pray for him and I will give him a chance to prove me wrong, and in truth I hope he does. But others seem to think he is Messiah, the chosen one who will free America and set us up on the path of glory. I heard several people state that President Obama was sent by God, or that President Obama will fix all our problems, and thankfully I heard President Obama say, no, it is up to us, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and fix our own problems. The government cannot do it for you. Praise God! Now if people would only hear the words…. America give President Obama a chance, take him off the pedestal and remember he is only a man, and man who is President. I pray that President Obama will have courage to shoulder the weight of America, and that we Americans will have the strength to carry our burdens. God Bless President Obama and God Bless America!
