The New Creed

Carrying on the left at the door idea, I thought I would talk about the idea of political correctness a little more.

Take the Nicene Creed for example:

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us men and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

The Political Correctness Police have not yet this prayer, but given time I am sure they will, so I thought I would rewrite it for them, save them a little time. Below is my political correct Nicene Creed.

We, if we choose to believe in one or two or three, whatever makes you happy, God, the Care Giver, the Almighty, co-maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one, but possibly more, Lord, Jesus Christ, the only offspring of God, eternally begotten of the Care Giver, God from God, Light from Light, true, or maybe not, God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Care Giver. Through it all things were made. For us persons and our salvation it came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, it was born of the Virgin Mary , and became a person. For our sake it was crucified under Pontius Pilate, so we are told by historians who want to shape our history; it suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day it rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: it ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Care Giver. It will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and it’s kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Care Giver and the Offspring. With the Care Giver and the Offspring, it is worshiped and glorified. it has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic and any other faith that makes them happy and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism (anyone will do) for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

In the name of Political Correctness, I have created a creed that should not offend anyone, and allow them to worship as they please. This creed takes in to account any view point or idea about our faith, and should be considered the creed we must all speak in church, so we do not offend.

Please make copies and distribute to parishioners as soon as you can….

NOT!

I pray that God will save our great nation and Church from the political correctness, and deliver us to freedom to worship as He has intended us to, With Conviction!

About Paul Sposite

Paul Sposite - Life Coach I began my career as an instructor. As an instructor there are two basic requirements. You have to know yourself, so you know where you’re drawing your inspiration from. And you have to actively listen to the others, and then respond to the subtext of what they are saying. In learning about myself I started to focus a lot on my students, how they learned, what questions they were asking and how I could best modify my methods to best serve them. I believe that if you use your real life problems/issues as insights to the issues you need to heal, you’ll grow. From my experience in the classroom, creating curriculum and material to support my training, I developed an interest in how people process information. This interest turned into my interest in Life Coaching.
