It’s God’s fault

Snow! Snow! Snow!

Well its March 28th and God has seen fit to send snow to Michigan again! Ever notice how people will blame God for things, I mean really do you think God is sitting in heaven saying, “Hmmmm, I think I will send snow to Michigan today, just to mess with Paul”.

I don’t think so…

I just find it hard to see God doing things like that, and really being overly concerned with it, but I suppose he could. But to what purpose, just to remind us all that we live in Michigan, a state where the weather can change on a dime. We all know this, we live here, I don’t think we need reminders!

People seem to like the ability to blame God for what they don’t like, you know, with stuff like:

“It’s God will” or “God must be sending me a message” stuff like that. Sure, sometimes it is God’s will and He is sending you a message, but I don’t think snow in March is it. It may be, but I really don’t think so.

I would venture to guess the God is craftier then that, He would do snow in June, and only on your house, if he really wanted to send you a message, not in March, all over the area, what fun is that. And really how do you know the message is meant for you?

We as humans seem to like the fact that we can blame others, it’s what we do. We fail a class, and it’s “The teachers don’t like me”, We don’t get the promotion we want, and it’s “They are just brown nosers”. We hardly ever stop to take the time to look at ourselves, and to see that there just may be something in us that stopped us from passing the test, like we didn’t study, or maybe we really didn’t deserve the promotion, just maybe… Sure there are sometimes when life is unfair, but I would argue that most of the time it is, we just fail to see it, because it does not fit our plan of life.

God has better things to do then just bother us, he has a whole world to run, and take care of. God don’t sweat the small stuff. Yes God intervenes in our life, He sends messages, and sometimes, he even places thing and opportunities in front of us, and a few road blocks every now and then.

But we are created with free-will, if that is so, then would God plan out our whole life? Would he intervene in every little detail? I don’t think so, rather he sets us on a path, and lets us choose the direction we want to go. When we are starting to get off path, he will give us a fork in the road, but it is still our choice to make.

We choose wrong, it’s or bad, not Gods.

So Snow in late March, well it’s to be expected, but If I have to blame someone, I’ll blame Mother Nature!

About Paul Sposite

Paul Sposite - Life Coach I began my career as an instructor. As an instructor there are two basic requirements. You have to know yourself, so you know where you’re drawing your inspiration from. And you have to actively listen to the others, and then respond to the subtext of what they are saying. In learning about myself I started to focus a lot on my students, how they learned, what questions they were asking and how I could best modify my methods to best serve them. I believe that if you use your real life problems/issues as insights to the issues you need to heal, you’ll grow. From my experience in the classroom, creating curriculum and material to support my training, I developed an interest in how people process information. This interest turned into my interest in Life Coaching.
