The Void

We are a people wanting more, we always want more then what we have. We are a consumer driven, self centered world. We are never satisfied with what we have, the grass is always greener on the other side…

 Get the point?

Why are we this way?

What has driven us to this point?

Sure we could say TV with all the commercial, or we could say that in todays world we have more, so we want more. We could blame our parents, they didn’t have much, so we want more… We could blame everything and everyone for it. But really it comes down to this:

We are made for God, and with out God we have a hole in us, and we try to fill that hole with everything except God…

The Void…

We want more love in our life, so we have more sex, but we still feel empty, so we have more sex…

The Void…

We want to be excepted by our friends, so we become what they are, but we still feel empty, so we change even more…

The Void…

We want to be excepted at work, so we never say no, but we still feel empty, so we create more to do…

The Void…

We want to feel, to be excepted and loved, but all to often we fail to except and love ourselves, and that leaves us not feeling at all.

The Void…

When God created us, he created us in His image, not a xerox, but an image of Him. We are created out of love, and all that is pure and good. So from this we can only be created GOOD.

Yes their is bad in the world, and yes we all can feel empty and ugly at times, but that is the work of the evil one, the devil, who once was an angel, and knows the goodness of God and tries his best to take that from us.

It is in our insecurities that he does this, planing the seeds of doubt and despair. We only need to remember that we are created in the image of God. This is the best defence you have.

If it is true that we are created in the image of God, then how can we not love ourselves? If we truly love God, the we must truly love what he has created out of his love, ourselves.

Yes it is hard to do, I know, I struggle with it at times, I think we all do. But we must learn to love ourselves, so others can learn to love us, and to do this, to learn to love ourselves, we must first learn to love God.

The void we feel is not for more of what earth can give us, but rather it’s for more of what God gives us.

About Paul Sposite

Paul Sposite - Life Coach I began my career as an instructor. As an instructor there are two basic requirements. You have to know yourself, so you know where you’re drawing your inspiration from. And you have to actively listen to the others, and then respond to the subtext of what they are saying. In learning about myself I started to focus a lot on my students, how they learned, what questions they were asking and how I could best modify my methods to best serve them. I believe that if you use your real life problems/issues as insights to the issues you need to heal, you’ll grow. From my experience in the classroom, creating curriculum and material to support my training, I developed an interest in how people process information. This interest turned into my interest in Life Coaching.
