Shh, listen for the quiet

Whisper… Shhh… Quiet…

The sounds of silence, all to often we do not hear that sound.  The sound of nothingness, is it really a sound?

As the age old questions goes, If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound? Yes, Yes is does, it makes the noise of silence. The soft stillness of the heart.

When God talks to us, it is not in the loud voice of the world, but rather the soft whisper of the quiet. It is in the stillness of the hear, and the silence of the soul that we hear Gods voice.

If we stop to listen, we will hear the soft gentle voice of God. We will hear it in all we do.

The voice is not like in the movies, a loud booming voice with echo added for effect, but rather its a string in the hear, a movement of the soul, God calls you loudly in the quiet of your heart.

I did a search for the word whisper in the bible, and I received over 15 hits, so at least 15 times God tells us that it’s a whisper we need to hear, not the noise of the world.

So the next time you are looking to hear the voice of God, stop and listen for the gentile sounds of the soul, and hear the whisper in your heart…

About Paul Sposite

Paul Sposite - Life Coach I began my career as an instructor. As an instructor there are two basic requirements. You have to know yourself, so you know where you’re drawing your inspiration from. And you have to actively listen to the others, and then respond to the subtext of what they are saying. In learning about myself I started to focus a lot on my students, how they learned, what questions they were asking and how I could best modify my methods to best serve them. I believe that if you use your real life problems/issues as insights to the issues you need to heal, you’ll grow. From my experience in the classroom, creating curriculum and material to support my training, I developed an interest in how people process information. This interest turned into my interest in Life Coaching.
