STATIC Solutions the 21st century Baltimore Catechism

What the Baltimore Catechism was for the 19th Century STATIC is for the 21st Century – it recognizes the basic needs and capacities of the local community and provides a process that quite simply works. I give the STATIC program and STATIC Solutions, LLC my highest recommendation.
    Westland, Michigan (STATICWEB) 12, August, 2009 --
STATIC Solutions, LLC a leader in middle school faith formation received a letter of recommendation of highest praise for quality solid Catholic formation material. The following letter will be sent in to the Archdiocese of Detroit as part of our effort to receive an imprimatur for our innovative programming.

    To Whom This May Concern
STATIC Programming is an excellent program and I believe that every parish should be utilizing each and every dimension. St. Theodore of Canterbury parish has been using the STATIC programming exclusively for our Middle School students since the fall of 2004. What began as a process to challenge our students to take on a more adult attitude regarding their own faith lives provided not only an exceptional experience with a sound theological foundation; rich biblical principles and fruitful interpersonal dynamics; it also challenged their parents and general parish as well.
After over 30 years of experience working with adolescents and pre-adolescents I went looking for a Religious Education process or program that would not only keep these older students from becoming bored but that would encourage their unique process in faith formation and learning. STATIC Small Group provides the process that not only teaches the students more about understanding and living their faith but in a way that allows them to interact with the information and with one another. The STATIC Large Group activities, which is more of a youth group based activities, gives the students a place to be in faith while having fun and in the whole process learning more about their faith and how to live it. And the program doesn’t just stop there. The journals for each grade level and the exceptional three years Service Process the possibilities are endless.
STATIC Solutions LLC continues to come out each year with new and innovative ideas such as newsletters, retreats and more I know that we will be able to provide a vital, nurturing program for decades to come. What the Baltimore Catechism was for the 19th Century STATIC is for the 21st Century – it recognizes the basic needs and capacities of the local community and provides a process that quite simply works. I give the STATIC program and STATIC Solutions, LLC my highest recommendation. I remain,
    Your Servant in Christ,

The ultimate Comfort Food

Fall has seem to hit Michigan over the past week or so, this morning on my way in to work it was 46 degrees, that’s a tad bit chilly for an August morning.
Well so  much for global warming….
I love the cooler weather, I love to sit in my house with all the windows open [...]

Saint Ted

The death of Ted Kennedy is an end to an era for America. We have seen the last of an American family that has been woven in to the American fabric and our political lives, for many of us we have never known a time with out a Kennedy in some sort of political office.  [...]

My 3 am wake up call

Last night or should I say this morning at 3am I woke from my sleep. A lot has been on my mind as of late and sleep suffers for this. But this morning my first reaction was to say a quick Hail Mary. I called upon my heavenly mother to come and comfort me, to [...]

5 at a time

I like to read, I like reading Stephen King, Dean Kuntz (only the Odd Thomas stuff) books on the catholic Faith, general spiritual books and as of late political books. The last in the list is new to me, I never read them until last year prior to the election, now I’m hooked.
It was [...]

The Manual

The manual that God wrote; that we were all supposed to receive at birth, explaining how to interpret the body’s signals, is out of print.
-unknown philosopher from antiquity
How very true, we have seem to have lost the ability to hear our own bodies communicate to us. God created this perfect machine, and we abuse [...]

Graceful Swan

Confirmation is this Sunday. My kids from the youth group I am minister of will be confirmed in Christ. It is a bitter sweet moment for me, you see I turned in my letter of resignation and this will be my last year working with the youth of my parish. So this confirmation will hold [...]

Mission

Yesterday I started and finished my blog, and than lost it, my program locked up and I couldn’t do anything… It was frustrating and I just decided I was not in the mood to rewrite what I thought was a good blog, so I will try to recreate that blog today…

A Friend at Easter

Easter is almost here, just a few short days… The week leading up to Easter, Holy Week, is a crazy week. I have a friend who works for the Church, well actually I have a few who do but I am referring to just one good friend of mine for this blog. She is the [...]

Garden of the Soul

The roots of sin run deep in our hearts. Sin, the act of forsaking God, leaves a deep root system that can take years to remove from the garden of the soul.
We sin once, we lie or cheat, we disrespect our parents or our children. We leave a hole where once a flower of [...]

God’s Infomercial

Can we truly find heaven here on earth? This is a question my friend posted on her blog (www.timelytidbits.wordpress.com). Well really not a question but rather a statement of trying to find heaven here on earth, the Promised Land. Like the Israelites, we too walk aimlessly in a desert, or so we think.
They were [...]
