God’s ATM

Today, many of us will be setting our clocks ahead one hour, for Daylight Savings time. But really do we save any time? Not really we just change the clock, but no time is really saved. We still only have 24 hours in a day, and we don’t have the extra hour to add to make it 25 hours in day. So what really is being saved?

The same can be said of sales at stores, they advertise savings, but really are you? Do you have any extra money when you walk out of the store? You may have spent less, but you didn’t save, you have nothing extra.

The only place I know of that offers you a true saving is the Church. Now we don’t offer 2 for one sales (but it would be nice) but the Church does offer you eternal savings.

By believing and doing good deeds you are adding to your heavenly bank account. With each deposit, you are adding to your saving…

Wouldn’t it be nice if God had an ATM machine here on earth… We could check our balance, maybe take a withdraw when he are a little short of Grace, or good works. See what interest we have earned. We would be able to transfer funds between accounts. And maybe even get a loan.

It’s a concept that can seem very appealing. But if you think about it, God has given us something better, we don’t have to drive to the ATM to make a withdraw, we don’t even have to check our balance. God has give each and everyone of us a personal banker, the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit, will give us what ever with draw we need, and as for our balance, well, our account is much like American Express, no limit. And the payment… well the bill is settled at death.

So make your withdraws with care, and use it wisely.

Paul
